Main Course V6.80 Changes/Fixes 1/24/01 to 07/16/02
Fix for PO-DO Costing option. See description under Inventory.
The PO-DO costing calculations would show an incorrect cost when an order was backordered and the stock to fill the back order was received at a different cost from the first shipment. It would average all receipts, not just those for the invoice in question.
In some cases when a Transfer into a warehouse was costed it would not allow the cost to be zero and would assign the standard cost if that were the case. This has been corrected so that if the cost of the transfer out of the origin warehouse comes out to zero then that will be the cost of the transfer in as well.
The report did not print totals for all of the warehouses, only the first. This has been corrected.

Fixed a problem when the system tries to recover from a previous error in the invoice entry. You would be told there are files from the last session and do you want to post them now. If you answered yes you would get an alias does not exist APP.
Fixed a problem where some invoices would show under the wrong sales rep when running the report for a range of reps.
Changed this option to allow the date to be changed as well.
Also created an access level for this option instead of only allowing Supervisor to access it.

Fixed some errors in handling credit card information for "phone sale" setup. Modifying an order sometimes caused another order's CC info to be deleted.
The error "variable does not exist abort_invc" was coming up in the payment screen only if you were setup for the "phone sale" features. This has been fixed.

Changes were made to PO Entry, Receiving, and Post to A/P to allow for using negative quantities. The system has allowed negative quantities for several revisions but some features did not work well when a PO had negative quantities. A/P invoices will now be marked as credits if the total is less than zero. And automatic allocation of stock via the PO-DO information will now handle releasing stock if a negative quantity is received.
If a receiving had multiple line items then the A/P invoice would have multiple entries in the Chart of Account information for the Inventory G/L account. These are now combined into one entry.
When an item could not be added to Ingram's PO the system would update the On Order from Vendor total incorrectly if the user chose to delete the item from the Main Course PO.
The range of order numbers didn't allow 7 digit numbers. When selecting customers and viewing the report on screen it would show only the first page of orders with more than one screen full of items. Preview of selected orders didn't automatically display.
Fixed various errors when modifying POs created from the Reorder report.
Added the ability to select the Ingram Insideline account to use for the PO.
Corrected an error "variable does not exist vid" when transmitting a PO. Also added an optional setting to override the update of prices based on Techdatas system. Several internal changes made to support the Techdata API interface.
Changed cancel a PO option to always cancel the PO on the Vendor's system if your PO is canceled. Also added an option to bypass the "Transmit to vendor..." question entirely (in this case it doesn't transmit unless you specifically choose the option to do so).
Changed receiving to update the Service Order parts needed correctly when the receiving warehouse is different from the Service parts warehouse. It now changes the Service warehouse unless it was partially received already in which case it updates the receiving amount on the parts needed but does not commit the items to the Service Order.

Fixed a problem where an A/P invoice for zero dollars but with two or more G/L accounts which totaled to zero would not be posted.
Corrected the classification of "K-to-Keep" items when a department number zero was defined. The report would incorrectly put "K-to-Keeps" in department zero instead of "Other". The report will still put the product into the proper column if you subsequently add the "K-to-Keep" product code to the list.
Corrected errors in finding the description for invoice lines. The report did not distinguish two lines with the same product code. Also, credit memo descriptions would always come from the product file. This also affected the Gross Margin report on the Sales Rep. Menu. The description for duplicate product codes was also a problem on the Single Margin Report.

Fixed a problem with reprinting the reports. Only the first two reports were in the reprint.
Also fixed the Auto-spooling of the reports. Even if you had Autospooling on the reports would not print until you turned the spooler off.
Added support for newer EDI Spec. versions. (3050 and 4010)
Added support for input files which contain data for more than one partner. The program now splits up the file and informs the user that there is data for other customers. (This would be a file with multiple senders.)
Fixed a problem when the PO input file contained a carriage return and a line feed after the terminator character.
Added support for reading attention information from the N302 field.
The input file for a customer can now create orders for customers other than the one chosen in the "configure" option. This is to support related companies who combine their EDI files, e.g. Prudential Insurance and Prudential Securities may share one purchasing department. (This would be a file with multiple Bill To's in one senders data.)
Fixed a problem where the control numbers were not unique.
Fixed a problem when generating the 997 and reading in the POs if the input file contained multiple envelopes with different delimiters.
Further fixes to the above. If the terminator was a carriage return character the above fix did not work. If the file contained a Functional Acknowledgement as the last envelope it would cause an error "GS segment expected".
If an order had large quantities (>1000) it could sometimes cause a "data width" error.

Added access levels to control the ability to edit the staus, comments, and problem codes after an SO has been billed. This ability was removed previously but some users were using this ability to review the status history after an SO was billed.
Rearranged the Parts Used entry screen to match the order of fields in Parts Needed more closely. Also disallowed any entry in the "Warehouse In" field if the part is not an exchange part.
Fixed a problem in this report which caused the report to be empty if you selected a single account and then sorted the report by something other than customer.
